Sales Policies
Herd Health
- Our herd is tested annually for Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis (CAE) virus and Johne's disease.
- Entire herd tested negative in March 2019 , April 2020, and May 2021
- Our herd is Caseous Lymphadenitis (CL) abscess-free
- All goats leaving our farm will have the following:
- Vaccinations for Clostridium C&D and Tetanus
- Dewormer
- Hooves Trimmed
- MGR Transfer Paperwork
- Health Records
- Small bag of food to assist with transitioning diet
- We do not disbud, but may have a limited number of polled goats available each year
- If you are purchasing a wether, please let us know at the time of selection. Payment may be required in full prior to castration being performed.
- Goats are herd animals and require companionship to be healthy and happy. If you are just starting out, we suggest purchasing at least two goats. We will not sell a single goat to a home without an appropriate companion.
Transportation
- Buyers are responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of purchased goats during transport to their new homes. We suggest using an appropriately sized crate, truck with a camper shell, or a livestock trailer bedded with straw. We retain the right to refuse to sell or allow transportation of our goats if we have concerns for their health and safety. If you have any questions about how to transport your new goats, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you come up with a suitable plan.
Payment
- Pricing
- Kids will be priced individually, taking into consideration their conformation, coat color, and eye color, etc. Kids with exceptional qualities will be priced accordingly. If you are interested in a particular kid, please contact us for pricing information.
- We may, on occasion, have adult goats available for sale. If you are interested in breeding age animals, please contact us for more information.
- A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to place a kid on hold until the time of weaning (typically 10 weeks of age). Pick-up must be scheduled prior to the kid reaching 10 weeks of age, unless other arrangements are made. Deposit money for kids not picked up within 10 days of the scheduled date will be forfeited and ownership will revert to Starfall Hollow Farm.
- We accept payment via cash, PayPal, or personal check. If you elect to pay with a personal check, goats will be placed on hold or scheduled for pick-up once the check has cleared.
- We reserve the right to cancel any sale. If such circumstances arise, we will refund the full deposit.
- All completed sales are final.
